Ashley King Fitness – fitness branding for success in the digital world.

Ashley King is a personal fitness and wellness trainer based in Austin, Texas. As Creative Director at Avintiv Media, I had the pleasure of working with Ashley to revitalize her branding. She came to Avintiv in need of a facelift for her fitness branding, as well as a fresh look to her website to take her business to a new level offering a wealth of digital products and services, such as eBooks, meal plans, and virtual training.

Process

Helping people #GetSculpted

The first step to a successful brand identity project is doing thorough market research. Naturally, Ashley King’s project started this same way. I dove into various design and typography trends in the fitness industry and paired that information with Ashley’s ideal customer, middle-age mothers with a burning desire to get fit and feel great.

After developing three unique directions we could head for her brand development, we eventually landed on the logo below (which, thankfully, was my favorite). This logo combined the Greek symbol for “change”, delta, with Ashley’s initial to symbolize her brand being a catalyst for change. The dark navy and cream color way offered a sense of luxuriousness to make the viewer feel a bit classy.

Process

Web design for digital fitness products and services

After solidifying Ashley’s brand identity, we then moved to redesigning her website. The objective of this was to revamp Ashley’s current site to both reflect her rebranding and allow her to expand her business through digital product offerings and virtual fitness training.

Ease of use was a critical factor that I kept in mind while designing the site, as the last thing we wanted was to have users get frustrated with the flow of the site and quit before ever getting started.
